I started using GNU/Linux in 2000. Been professionally using GNU/Linux since 2004 in higher education environments. Since 2007 I have also implemented several Digital for Development (D4D) programmes in Ethiopia and Cuba. In 2019 I’m was as a senior Devops engineer in the private sector. In 2020 I decided to move into cyber security and became an IT security engineer at Ghent university Specialties: High available setups. Configuration management with Puppet, Ansible, cfengine. Continuous integration an delivery (GitLab, Jenkins). Operational management of heterogeneous computer farms. Monitoring (Nagios, Icinga2 Grafana, ELK).
