Rui Lima

Rui Costa Lima is an experienced sensory manager with a degree in Food Engineering at the College of Biotechnology of the Catholic University and is currently manager of Sense Test - Sociedade de Estudos de Análise Sensorial a Produtos Alimentares, developing activity in this sector for 25 years. He maintains regular participation in national and international congresses and seminars, namely Eurosense and Pangborn, as well as in regulatory committee such as Technical Commission 114 of IPQ and ASTM. He is responsible for Sense Test's corporate participation in several projects, namely H2020 SUSINCHAIN - SUStainable INsect CHAIN, H2020 TRANSIT – Training Network Sustainable Technologies, Mobilizing project cLabel+, MobFood and Noveltec, ANI co-promotion 4Cs - Consumer Cross Cultural Context and FCT QuaLaty project. As a specialist in the area of Sensory Analysis he is regularly invited to participate as a specialist at post-graduate courses at Universidade Católica, Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade do Porto and Universidade Aberta. He is also an industrial tutor for several undergraduate, masters and doctoral students with emphasis on the PhD program SANFEED "Sustainable Animal Nutrition and Feeding. He is the representative of Sense Test in COLAB4FOOD - Collaborative Laboratory for Innovation in the Agro-Food Industry. He is an internal auditor for the certification and accreditation of expert tasting panels, namely in the wine sector.
