I have 13 years experience installing and repairing door operating devices: transmitters, receivers, key less entry's, card readers, and keyed systems. I enjoyed troubleshooting electro-mechanical garage doors operators, gate operators, passage door locks and remotely operated windows. Customer needs varied from security, to ease of access and safety, multi billion rotating codes to operate your garage door with photo electrical safety integrated, entering a grocery store with motion sensors triggering doors and air curtains, companies controlling restricted zones, or entering a hotel room. Replacing boards was common, however field component desoldering and soldering was at times more timely or cost effective. Currently, I have obtained multiple certifications, deepening my understanding of electronics, which will improve my skills.
