When “how you achieve your mission” is as important as “achieving your mission”, I am the ideal leader for your nonprofit organization. I am a mission-driven nonprofit management executive with extensive experience leveraging the power of people and information technology (IT). I have over 25 years of nonprofit organization work experience as an executive director, manager, employee, and consultant. Rounding out my nonprofit experience, I have also worked in the public sector as an entrepreneur and a director at multiple technology companies. As a nonprofit leader, I fully commit myself to the organization’s mission. My board of directors have described me as creative, articulate, persistent, diligent, perceptive, and self-confident. Just as important, I am proud of the manner in which I help organizations to propel forward. A board member once stated, "I think that you are the most outstanding, motivating, considerate, effective or just overall best executive director of any organization I've ever been part of or worked with." My work colleagues have described me as trustworthy, dependable, conscientious, sensitive, and friendly. I am honored to have been the first recipient of Goodwill’s “Walk this Way” award in 2009. It is their top award and is given to the employee who best demonstrates the seven attributes of the GII Culture Statement (i.e., core values). In addition to my professional experience in management, I have a bachelor of science degree in business and management and a master of science degree in management with a specialization in nonprofit and association management. Additionally, I have extensive IT experience as a team manager, team lead, project manager, and direct contributor. In 2015, as executive director of the Federation of Podiatric Medical Boards, I successfully led the initiative to implement electronic delivery of licensure-related documentation to state medical boards. The initiative reduced turnaround time from a week to less than one business day. I start each work day energized knowing that I have the opportunity to make a significant impact in this world through the organizations I lead and the people I serve.
