I am a registered nurse who is comfortable with technology and particularly with electronic medical records (EMR) and have a passion for ensuring quality patient care through improved technological functionality. My specialty is to integrate nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. As an RN in Nursing Informatics I help to facilitate the integration of that data, information, knowledge, and wisdom to support patients, nurses, and other providers in their decision-making in all roles and settings which is accomplished through the use of information structures, information processes, and information technology. My skill set is with the Cerner Millennium EMR setting with focus on Core/Security/ESH/position management functions as well as PowerChart, FirstNet and SurgiNet applications and with bolt on applications of Bridge, some Case Management solutions, MPages as well as Cerner Millennium back end tools and processes.
