As someone who has spent their entire career working in the browser, I am no stranger to the world of web development. Throughout my professional journey, I have held several positions in the field, from webmaster to chief web officer. In 2019, I was approached by a startup supplement company's ownership team and offered the CEO role. Naturally, I was eager to take on this new challenge. I remember my first conversation with my new business partners, telling them they would get more out of me than they realized.As CEO, I was to execute the company's vision and drive its growth. I used my extensive experience working with hundreds of companies to help the startup succeed. As a result, we experienced such prolific growth that it felt like we were building the plane while flying it, as my CFO often joked. In just four years, we reached nearly $50 million in revenue and, in 2022, sold to a private equity firm for $200 million.However, my proudest accomplishment at the helm was the culture we built within the company. I knew we had the opportunity to do something different and create a unique culture that would set us apart from most companies. Our success as a team is a story that has yet to be told but is about to change. Over the next year, my team and I will release videos, training, articles, interviews, and books to share our experiences and insights with others.We hope to inspire others to become better leaders, teams, and companies through our story. I have learned that the value of something is only worth as much as it is shared with others. We have been incredibly blessed through our experiences. Sharing our story is our way of giving back and thanking those who have supported us.
