Søren Bøhne

I am working as a managing data scientist / consultant across several industries. My main areas of expertise is within predictive analytics, price optimization, natural language processing and IoT Here I help customers create value out of their data, and examples of stuff I have been doing recently is predictive maintenance on huge ship engines as well as in big boilers in power plants and predicting the ampacity for the power grid given hourly weather updates. I have also been creating forecasting models predicting future prices in a closed commodity market, as well as I was the technical lead on an internal IBM project where I was teaching IBM Watson Explorer Danish. Other things I have done in previous years is building a debt collection model for a large Nordic bank, I have been creating fraud finding model in the public sector, I have been doing price optimization for several large retailers both big European online as well as for a big supermarket chain with several banners. Besides that I also have experience on clustering/segmenting customers based on their buying patterns and generally analyzing customer behavior which is also what my educational background is, where I hold a master in marketing from Aarhus University, a master in Consumer behavior from Technical University of Munich, as well as I have studied international marketing at Harvard University. As a person I enjoy challenging tasks, and being challenged both at work and within my personal life is something I see as very important. In my work life many of my projects is where I have been implementing solutions and then been handing it over to other colleagues when it becomes more “business as usual”. In my personal life I like to cook, and I often have friends and colleagues over for a 6-7-8 course dinner where I like to impress with for instance molecular cooking. Besides that I like to spend time with wife and my young son as well as I am into both American as well as European football.
