Working in the capacity of GENERAL MANAGER EXPORTS at Naveena Export Limited, Karachi, Pakistan. Responsible for assuring that all documentation meets company and international regulations. Develop & keep updated a proper Export Systems at NEL in shape of SOPs & supportive documents and ensure its compliance and implementation as per the requirement of the organization. Manage the timely delivery of products to overseas customers in best possible way with involvement of minimum cost, time, and best available resources. Ensure booking of shipments and placement of containers with freight forwarders as well as shipping lines. Supervise coordination with transporters for timely arrival of goods at sea ports / airports / dry ports / railway stations and coordination with clearing agents for clearance of export consignments within budget and target time. Negotiate with shipping lines, port authorities, clearing agents, freight forwarders and transporters to obtain best freight rates and services. Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals by sourcing alternates. Makes sure all export documents are recorded, properly prepared and maintained as per international regulations. Responsible to ensure preparation of Pre-Shipment and Post Shipments Documents, Customs/Export Clearance documents. Responsible to monitor submission of custom rebate/DLTL documents in timely manner. Communicate with Pakistan Customs PSW & Federal Board of revenue & state bank of Pakistan for custom rebate/DLTL timely refund. Interact with customs house agents/authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, associations, banks and govt. Bodies for establishing healthy and strong relationships. Handling independently all written correspondence with State Bank of Pakistan, Banks, Customs, Associations, FBR, and Ministry of Textile Industry etc on daily basis on various issues. Perform necessary Treasury activities on daily basis with various banks, Monitor & settle exports proceed, negotiate Exchange rates (Spot/forward booking). Implement/ Uses MIS system report to monitor and control all export related activities, and ensure its accuracy. Ensure Proper Training & Development of the Export Staff wherever & whenever needed through performance appraisal. Developing Export staff through formal and informal coaching, counseling & mentoring sessions
