The Snorkel project started out as research at the Stanford AI Lab 7 years ago focused on one of the biggest bottlenecks in AI development with unstructured data -- manual, hand-annotation. The founding team developed programmatic labeling; a more scalable approach that combines domain knowledge with data science techniques to move 10x-100x faster, increase accuracy, and enable resilience in dynamic environments. Collaborating with academia, industry, and government to solve this challenge, the team has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers on the subject. Fast-forward from the research that started in 2015 to the Snorkel Flow platform of today, it's showing real-world results at 2 of the top 3 US banks, Chubb, Genentech, Schlumberger, 1 of the largest online retailers, MSKCC, and more. Our growing team of 130+ is continuing to make strides through engineering, research, packaging in modern ML techniques, and bringing on some really great people! Snorkel is hiring!
