Sam Seawright

My most rewarding employment experiences have involved helping artists and institutions exhibit and care for their works. Through the years of my multi-faceted New York art services career, I have worked with artists, galleries, museums and collectors bringing art to public view as an installer, project manager, and registrar. A few projects that I have managed include installations of Ernesto Neto’s Nave at Art Basel Miami, Mary Callery’s Brotherhood of Man at the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, Calliope Lemos’ Pea Pod Boats at the Onassis Foundation. I have extensive experience cataloging artwork, creating loan documents and managing loans and insurance documentation. Additionally, I have designed packing solutions, inner boxes, and crates for traveling museum exhibitions. Working side-by-side with experienced curators and conservators has enabled me to learn and employ best practices. I also contribute an artist’s eye to the exhibition and care of artwork utilizing museum-safe practices and standards. I have experience in lighting gallery spaces, display cases, objects, and flat work and have basic carpentry skills.
