In terms of my educational career, first and foremost, once working at a district I hope to become a nationally board certified teacher. Additionally, my professional goals are to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and engage students in authentic learning opportunities while providing differentiated learning options for my students. I will continue to pursue courses at nearby universities that will enhance my ability to teach not only the curriculum required but that will help me understand the most recent techniques and strategies for reaching and engaging students. As a journalist, I hope to continue pursuing freelance opportunities as they become available in order to keep up-to-date with my first love, writing.
