Tackling climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions includes a change from non-renewable (fossil) energy to renewable energy but also means curbing greenhouse gas emissions from production processes to which these emissions are inherent. Another, partly linked, sustainability challenge is to environmental impact of the world's material footprint. These challenges should be approached without (significantly) hindering the development of businesses and countries. I am committed to tackle these and other sustainability challenges, albeit on a small scale, based on knowledge of sustainability challenges. In attempting to tackle I believe it is necessary to avoid problem shifting and adopt a life cycle perspective by using e.g. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
