Sarah Bendeich

I’m an urban designer, landscape architect, and project manager, with a passion for making cities, precincts and streets healthier, more sustainable and more equitable places. Having worked in consulting and local government roles for 15 years, there’s nothing like visiting a place that I’ve helped to transform, and to see a tangible difference to the way people share and enjoy spaces and places. My work has won many awards along the way for landscape architecture, urban design, master planning, waterfronts, tourism developments, heritage, regional planning, and urban research. I’m currently at Clarence City Council leading the City Heart project, collaborating with experts, staff, community, stakeholders and decision makers to develop a plan that will shape the future of Hobart’s eastern shore as a more vibrant, connected and future-ready centre. There are opportunities to leverage Clarence’s strong growth, community assets and special sense of place for the benefit of the whole community.
