Sarah Jane Maki

As a sustainablity focused designer, I am a student of the human experience – I design for people (and the planet) – creating positive user experience and intuitive design that engages and uplifts. I am an admitted Systems Thinking geek and look to nature and natural systems for inspiration and innovative problem solving. There is not only great visual beauty in the world around us, but solutions to complicated problems can be found in the patterns of behavior, community, ecosystems... the cycles and the systems in which we exist.I specialize in strategy and holistic design solutions in all nature of design media, utilizing Design Thinking to help clients identify their objectives and clarify strategy, and user-centered design practices to create an outstanding user experience. I especially enjoy working in CSR reporting and assisting companies in telling their stories. My skills as a front end developer and knowledge of digital media allow me to create design solutions that extend a full range of accessible media from print media to interactive design to a visual and experiential exhibit space design.
