Sarah McLaren

I am a naturally gifted communicator (who has spent a lot of time honing those gifts), and a passionate advocate for social equity in our society. In the marketing and communications space, I specialise in managing digital marketing and communications content (across web and social media platforms). I am an experienced events coordinator, with three successful roleplaying conventions under my belt, as well as multiple smaller events for previous employers. I am a skilled and FAST editor and proofreader, and am accomplished at taking highly technical and/or complex concepts and translating them into accessible plain English. I am also skilled at desktop publishing, and bring a holistic, goal- and audience-oriented approach to every project I work on. My personal mantras are: "If you've stopped learning, you've stopped living." "An act of kindness is a bright light in a dark world; try to outshine the sun." I am a card-carrying geek (quite literally), avid reader, small-scale sculptor, knitter and cross-stitcher, and modern-day polymath. I am always on the lookout for new experiences, skills and insights.
