I have been a registered nurse for 15 years, completing my initial degree at Scottsdale Community College in 2009, and then my bachelors at Grand Canyon University in 2011. I have had a primary focus in pediatrics, starting on the Pediatric Trauma, Neuro and Rehab unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital, initially as a patient care tech in 2006. I have about two years of mixed adult nursing, one year in an adult PACU as well as time spent in adult family practice and OBGYN during my travel nurse period. I have transitioned within the last 6 years into the the administrative roles of Clinical Supervisor of the Pediatric Aerodigestive Surgery Center at Phoenix Children's Hospital, to my now current role at Upstate University as the manager of the Center for Children's Surgery, connected to Gollisano Children's Hospital. Nursing has the ability to morph into many diverse avenues of service, and I have yet to lose my passion for it.
