Senior Application Developer with experience working with Linux and Windows. Mostly used Java but also C# and many other languages. Looking for a software company where I can work with a team to create useful applications of the highest quality. My brother and I got our start in computers when I was 8 years old with an XT/8086 running MS DOS 3.21. This was 27 years ago. Through the years we upgraded many times and played around with DOS, games, Windows, Linux and building our own computers. We learned all the ins and outs of computers and networking. When I got older I got into programming with DOS batch files, IRC scripting, Turbo Pascal, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, bash, python and C.What I love doing is solving interesting problems with code and building things that people can use; putting together everything to create a reliable, working system. Doing the design, writing the code, configuring the servers, securing them and maintaining the system and improving it.I consider myself quite pragmatic. Solving the problem elegantly is important to me, but in the end it's more important to solve the problem than to stand around arguing over what is more elegant.
