Scott Ellman

Scott joins Maginatics after having spent several years as CEO of a boutique management consultancy providing marketing, alliances and business development services to a variety of technology companies based in the U.S. and Asia. In that role, he worked with a wide range of companies, from start-ups to multinationals, on both strategic and tactical aspects of their marketing, business development and partnership portfolios. Previously, Scott was group product manager at VMware, where he led the company’s ecosystem strategy and managed the firm’s relationships with its major OEM partners. Prior to VMware, Scott served a vice president of marketing for a venture-backed technology startup and held senior roles in product management, product marketing and strategy at Silicon Graphics (SGI). He has advised a number of early stage startups. Scott holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University.
