Scott Stratford

My career has been spent in the wireless industry, most recently developing embedded firmware for 5G PHY layer infrastructure equipment as well as RF drivers. Prior to that I developed Distributed Antenna System (DAS) systems for cellular communications. I’ve been able to contribute both in a leadership capacity as well as a hands-on developer with embedded software and system design. I especially enjoy working at the system level where I need to understand the big picture and effectively communicate with other team members to implement the desired result. I have a broad background that encompasses embedded software, RF, signal processing, simulations, physical layer protocols, digital communications and test validation, with a particular focus on cellular and 5G. Much of my experience includes working with cross-functional teams to define products, followed by developing the architecture and design specifications. I’ve also investigated and developed key algorithms in such areas as RF configuration and calibration, gain equalization, TDD timing recovery and end-to-end RF self-test.
