Sean Copeland

Sean Copeland is the principal loremaster of Story & Franchise Development at Blizzard Entertainment leading its team of historians. His team guides all development partners so they can create award-winning games, goods, and cinematic content for our blockbuster franchises with confidence. His career includes 15 years of narrative design, world-building, and lore expertise in major franchises including Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, StarCraft, and World of Warcraft. He and his team are trusted subject matter experts that safeguard the intellectual properties of Activision Blizzard. Sean and the Lore team are empowered to extend the reach of their franchises beyond the game space into various other media opportunities. They are entrusted agents of game development, embedding into various teams and processes to ensure narrative products are consistent, adhere to franchise canon and pillars, and move across the finish line.
