Sean Nack

During my more than 8 years of service in the United States Army, I have filled a variety of roles: as an Infantryman, I engaged in and was decorated for my experiences in direct combat against assorted Anti-Coalition Militia elements; as a Radio Operator, I was responsible for coordinating tactical communication from the platoon to brigade level while under direct fire; as the Officer Candidate School Holdover Coordinator, I have generated and executed training programs for physical fitness training, small unit tactics, and land navigation for nearly 3,000 Officer Candidates, while providing daily guidance, leadership, and direction for up to 200 Soldiers at a time. I am also a superlative communicator in both the written and spoken word as evidenced by my experience as a freelance journalist and editor, which allows me to convey complex information, from the tactical to the conceptual, in as clear and concise a manner as required. My educational background at the University of Oregon in International Relations and Development has also taught me to be thorough, thoughtful, and culturally sensitive in whatever environment I find myself in, as well as a novice facility with French, Arabic, German, and Spanish. As a freelance writer and editor, I became a superlative communicator, both in using the written word myself and in coaching others to become better writers.
