Seb Zolfaghari

Seb has 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry & has built up a breadth of knowledge of key business systems & processes used in the sector. Seb is an ISTQB/ISEB certified a Software Engineer for LBG, experience includes: Supporting the UK Credit Operations business unit complete UAT testing for the largest UK bank merger between Lloyds TSB & HBOS. Seb hit the ground running, creating thousands of test conditions, based on developer requirements, reviewing the conditions with the developers, the business & creating, organising, executing & reporting on the progress of the tests to senior stakeholders including the executive board. Seb also worked on different test phases including, CBT, Live Trials, Operational Reconciliation & Financial Reconciliation. Upon live implementation, Seb was heavily involved with the first occurrence validation/business checkout. Currently a Software Engineer for Group Operations business, Seb has worked on ‘Project Verde’. Verde was the project that delivered the European Commission’s requirement for LBG to create a new bank consisting of 20% of their current business. Responsibilities included: system testing for the project & developing the SharePoint site for the Collections division to enable key knowledge transfer & information exchange for the new TSB bank. Working with business stakeholders to introduce BAU change to the bank’s Collections & Recoveries system previously using Waterfall methodologies & more recently, Agile methods. This role involves analysing business requirements, designing changes, building changes, testing (other colleagues’ changes), reconciling changes, risk & stakeholder management, including a range of implementation tasks using dev ops procedures. Many of the changes developed & tested are executed with SQL via the Oracle SQL Developer program.
