Shahryar Ahmadi

I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in shoulder and elbow surgery. I received my medical degree at the University of Tehran. I completed my residency at the University of Toronto. I was then trained by world renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons during my fellowship at Mayo Clinic. I pursued an academic position as director of shoulder and elbow surgery at the University of Arkansas for over ten years. I was a faculty member in shoulder, elbow, and trauma services. I have extensive experience in shoulder and elbow surgery in arthroscopy, reconstruction and trauma. With about 300 shoulder arthroplasties and 30 elbow arthroplasties performed a year, I am one the most experienced surgeons in this filed. I regularly perform very complex shoulder and elbow surgeries including complex revision surgeries. I receive several referrals from many other orthopaedic surgeons from the whole state. I am a member of several education committees and have years of experience teaching residents, fellows, and other orthopaedic surgeons. I am also consultant for orthopaedic companies. I have published numerous papers and am a reviewer for several journals. I hold several patents and have invented a novel approach for elbow arthroplasty.
