"Shawn Baird has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. His previous duties included redesigning and architecting networks and infrastructure in every major airport in the United States and Canada. He also worked with the United States Military and DoD for numerous years as a Senior Engineer and Security Analyst and then moved onto to work in the financial sector. During this time, he was the Senior Network Engineer and Security Architect for one of the nation’s largest commercial mortgage brokers. His current focus now is acting as a Senior Infrastructure Consultant and Security Lead for Moser consulting. His responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures, gap analysis, performing risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. Along with implementing several security frameworks and critical security controls i.e. HIPAA, PCI, SOX, NIST, DISA. In addition, his role includes acting as the lead incident response engineer during any type of security breach or incident, along with his current duties include acting as mentor to staff and subject matter experts and stakeholders across the wide spectrum of IT disciplines, e.g., applications, operating systems, databases, and digital forensics.”
