Sheila Webb

I am a people person and am happiest in a problem solving environment to help people progress in life generally and in their employment prospects via educational opportunities. I have over 30 years experience of working in an educational environment including Adult, Youth and Community education and providing opportunities for adult and further education. I am qualified in providing Information, Advice & Guidance and hold a Counselling Certificate. I am a volunteer working with community organisations taking meeting Minutes, liaising with local media to publicise charity fundraising events, some of which I organize myself to raise funds for my chosen charity. I am Secretary to my local Residents Association and support two University of the Third age groups which now have over approx 200 members in each. I am a Committee member and Business Secretary of one of the u3a groups. I take a keen interest in local and national politics and keep people informed about environmental issues locally and nationally. I have organised an opposition group/public meeting against undesirable development in our local area which had a successful conclusion and am currently encouraging people to appose another local development which could be detrimental to our local semi-rural environment.
