Sherif Rizk

I believe that our values have a strong effect on every aspect of our lives. I am a strong believer in peace, justice and socioeconomic equality. I have always been very aware of events which occur in the world around me, especially those that involve socioeconomic justice. As all people should, I want to see a future where human beings thrive and excel. I have a Masters Degree in International Affairs & Social Justice from Brooklyn College and I focused on contentious politics as a result of socioeconomic inequality. In this age of information, socioeconomic inequality and the humanitarian crises that results from it, do not only have a cost on life and dollars, they also have a psychological effect on victims and observers. Building a better future for our world does not only occur at the institutional level but also at the individual level. If each individual contributed towards the well being of his/ her community, and strong institutions are built to help individuals achieve this goal, a lot can be accomplished to create a society with a strong Middle Class and thriving economy. I currently work in Workforce development and have gained tons of valuable experience working with socioeconomically disadvantaged people directly. I believe I am ready for the next step in my career and I want to use my combined educational and on the ground experience to contribute to a successful organization.
