Honoured to be Haskayne's Most Outstanding 1st Year Student, a part-time capital markets trader at 15, Research Advisor at 18, Co-Founder at 19, Chancellor's Circle Scholar, President's Scholar, ADSA national-level debater, entrepreneur— At 19 Sigmund is pursuing his passion for finance, business, public speaking, and entrepreneurship. Along with his previous experience, Sigmund strives to obtain his CFA and to work as an Investment Banker.🎓 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑: Sigmund graduated from Rundle College and began to pursue a dual degree in Commerce (Major Finance) and Economics with a Mathematics minor at the University of Calgary. Throughout his degree, Sigmund has been involved with the Ambassadors organization, Chancellor's Circle, Scholars Academy, First Year Scholars, First Year Mentorship Program, been published in the Scholars Academy Magazine, Haskayne Report, and CBP, and selected to be a Teaching Assistant at Haskayne and as one of three panelists/speakers for the prestigious Chancellor Donor Night Event.📈 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑: At the age of 15, Sigmund began investing in equities, options, and ETFs, prior to working as an Investment Analyst of Tuscan Capital Management Ltd (family office) at 18. Also at 18, Sigmund was acquired as a Research Advisor to find prospective buyers for Nia Technologies Inc. (the first corporation to develop an integrated solution that enables 3D-printing of prosthetic orthotics for children in developing nations). Following the completion of his BMC and CFA Investment Foundations program in 2021, Sigmund became the Fund Manager at DeNovo Investment Fund. Sigmund is also an avid member of the Finance Club and has placed 1st in two of three regional to international level trading competitions.🎤 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑: Sigmund has over 8 years of professional and national-level competitive public speaking experience. From 2014-2020, Sigmund debated on a regional, provincial, and national level through the ADSA. In 2020-21, Sigmund was named JDC West Team Haskayne's Debate Captain and led the team to the consolation finals. Sigmund also took part in both VBCC and HCC case comp in 2020-21. Sigmund will be representing Haskayne at ICBC (2022) at Queen's University.💡 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒: Over the course of the next 4 years, Sigmund strives to have an Investment Banking Internship along with being a part of CPMT, ICBC (2023), MIPC, RBC Fast Pitch, the CFA Research Challenge, and complete his Level I CFA, CSC, Wall Street Prep, and a TEDx Talk (2022).
