Singaravelan Thirugnanasambandan (Velan)

Velan is a professional IT veteran who successfully transitioned himself from the corporate fintech environment to cleantech start-up eco-system in Singapore.Velan helped in building EverComm from a two people incorporation to a twenty plus people with the S$16M valuation in 3 years’ time. He is instrumental in developing business partnerships for EverComm with Govt, MNC's & local Singapore SME such as IMDA, EDB, McKinsey & Company, G-Energy Global and more. He has raised Govt GRANTS up to S$2M for Tech Start-ups and also built an international R&D collaboration in Israel with the help of Singapore Israel Industrial R&D Foundation. He actively contributes to the "AI" Adoption index in the Singapore Hotel Industry working closely with the hotels & Singapore Tourism Board.He has been invited as a speaker at SME CEO Roundtable organized by United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and Shell in the areas of “AI Driven Energy Management” in Singapore and Taiwan. He also teaches “Technopreneurship” at NTUitive. Prior to joining EverComm, he was a strategy consultant and program manager with 20 years of experience in the digital banking industry across the Asia Pacific.He has managed several Digital Transformation projects in the regional and MNC banks. He also spearheaded roll-out of leading “Digital Banking” products like Finacle & FLEXCUBE for Indian & MNC banks in the Asia Pacific Region.
