Hello. I am Syamimi, a graduate of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) with a BSc of Applied Chemistry. I have an educational background to optimize laboratory operations as I have completed laboratory courses and assessment that help me to understand the principles of experiment development. I have also explored techniques as microwave-assisted method and FTIR. Previously, I held an industrial internship for 8-months with Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (PROTON) where I was assigned to different duties included testing samples of used engine oil for its kinematic viscosity, flash point, chemical composition, total acid and total base number. This valuable experience helps me to be thorough in my record keeping and pay great attention to detail traits that are essential in this field. Furthermore, I am absolutely familiar working in a lab and always adhere to safe handling procedures and maintain sanitation protocol. Through my previous experiences in extra-curricular activities, I work well as a member of a team but also confident in assuming responsibility as a leader. As a student, I have been extensively involved in my university community, which has allowed me to gain excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to solve problems and handle challenging situations.
