With a background of diverse experience and insights I have fallen in love with the challenges of creativity and optimalisation that programming provides. I am working for a SaaS-company providing Facilit FDVU, a system for property management and development. A lot of my time is spent getting to know the customer's current data, their needs and expectations, and then handle their current data exports to fit in our system. Initially this involves handling data in various formats from XML to Excel. This if followed by developing custom import scripts in C# to directly copy relevant data or interpret various data to achieve the desired outcome in our system. Often changes to imported data might be required, which is typically done with SQL or Linq-to-SQL in SSMS or Linqpad. I also spend some time troubleshooting customers who have discovered technical issues. These issues I may describe for other developers, and work with them to test and approve the solutions they develop. Oftentimes I analyse the problems myself to see if I can solve them with changes to the database tables rather than changing any programme code. In addition I work with handling imports and exports of documents, which can involve setting up e.g. FileZilla servers and clients. We also have some integrations with economic/ERP systems utilising file transfers and import/export jobs. I handle issues that may arise, and sometimes work with customers to setup or adjust these integrations. In my spare time I'm working on developing a web page where I can test out various ideas I have to challenge myself. Other than that I enjoy skiing, jogging, dancing, and playing board games or otherwise socialising with friends and family.
