Sophie Cornish MBE is an entrepreneur, director and advisor in a number of fast growth media and retail businesses.She co-founded notonthehighstreet.com in 2006. From its initial network of 95 of Britain’s most creative small businesses, the company now works with 5,000 small business partners selling over 200,000 products and employs over 200 staff at its offices in Richmond, West London. Her marketing and advertising career, built on her fashion and beauty market experience, included creative brand development for Boots No 7 and 17 cosmetics, and management of advertising campaigns for L'Oreal brands, George at Asda and Monsoon fragrances. Sophie worked on the launch of internet startup WorldGallery.co.uk, and was a channel editor for Time Inc UK (then IPC Media) on their first online women’s magazine, BEME.comSophie also worked as a freelance journalist, writing for a number of print titles, including the direct-shopping title PS Magazine, Boots Health & Beauty Magazine, Woman & Home, Brides Magazine, and the Evening Standard, as well as writing a wedding planning book, Your Wedding Your Way (Ebury Press, 2003).
