• Responsible for a trouble-free production flow and product quality and general optimization of the production setup and processes regarding safety, quality and cost effectiveness • Responsible for a team of 34 employees appraisals, holidays, sickness reviews, disciplinaries, grievances and budget. • Implementing significant operational changes to accommodate growth from $70 M to $120 M • Assist the HSE Manager with area Risk Assessments, COSHH, Point of Work and safety reviews • Analysis of issues with parts, materials, procedures and systems using DMAIC, 5-WHY and 8D problem solving methods • Develop, implement and continue a total quality concept in alignment with the company targets • Provide analyses and recommendations for Senior Management on direct labour costs and budget by tracking and analysing FTE, OEE and FPY • Responsible for implementing Skills Matrices and Training Plans to maximise staff rotation and experience • Rate employee performance through bi-annual appraisals (job chats) setting SMART goals and objectives and track progress though out the year • Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to, monitored and that all near misses and accidents are reported and acted upon to prevent re-occurrence • Determine quality regulations for production procedures and finished products according to internal and external demands • Take responsibility for all direct and indirect work procedures, ODS, SOP’s and SSOW • Analyse costs, efficiency and liability of the existing plant / building / site and systems, evaluate changes and determine targets for the factory • Manage processes in cooperation with the Quality Manager • Drive continuous improvements through Kaizen events, 5S, Kanban, Lean etc. • Mentor and drive the Grass Roots Team (culture change) • Record, analyse, evaluate and communicate site KPI’s to demonstrate the company’s effectiveness in achieving its key business objectives to concentrate efforts through time bound actions
