Stephanie Black possesses 20+ years of business experience in operations and financial management with technology and emerging market firms and is an active member of the local investment community.Stephanie began her career as a certified public accountant with KPMG, auditing and consulting for international Fortune 500 firms within the Information, Communications and Entertainment industries. She went on to hold management positions in the finance departments of Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS), Inc., Island Data Inc. (one of the initial Real-Time Customer Analytics solutions using Big Data) and Geerbox (content management systems and customer portals for news and legal industries); and in 2001, became the Director of Finance at Mission Ventures, a San Diego Venture Capital Firm, wherein she managed the financial reporting and operational aspects of multiple successful funds.After moving to Raleigh, NC, Stephanie established the Accounting department and built the Finance team to support HireNetworks, a technical staffing firm supporting local and national emerging market companies, start-ups, equity investments and other entrepreneurial ventures.
