I am a lifelong learner and passionate educator with experience in academic advising, teaching, counselling, leadership, and management. I have worked with students of all ages from a vast spectrum of socio-cultural contexts, empowering them to be change-makers and innovators, to build resilience, and to develop the tools needed for success. Accomplishments in the Higher Education Field: - Led 20+ student leaders to redesign and coordinate the New Student Orientation experience for 800+ international students over five days each semester - Developed and managed an early intervention program (e.g. Accessible mentoring, Tutoring Centre) to support at-risk students and increase course and program completion rates - Coordinated the development and editing of an online Pre-Arrival Orientation course, and recruited staff and student ambassadors to share their knowledge and experiences in video interviews for the website Expertise: - Student Engagement - Leadership Development - Academic Advising - Event/Workshop Planning - Social Media and Communications I am actively seeking new opportunities to continue to learn, and to guide and help others by contributing to holistic student success in the postsecondary education community.
