I have been Commercial Director, CFO and FD for a number of fastgrowing start-up companies in the UK, Europe and the USA, some of which havegrown from 10 to 2500 personnel. I have led and been heavily involvedat the board of directors level and have been strongly involved in the growth strategy, business development, M&A activity and sales and disposal of businesses.I have reported directly to the Founders, Shareholders and Investors, I was CFO for a NASDAQ listed company for 8 years and reported under USGAAP to the SEC making over 80 filings to the strictest deadlines, I was responsible for leading and conducting the due diligence on over35 company acquisitions, giving me invaluable insights into the operational and financial structures of many international companies.As part of my role as CFO I led the IPO process for a NASDAQ listing and a secondary offering.I have liaised with the partners and senior personnel at lawyers, banks, VC;s private equity houses, auditors Tax and other advisers. This has included audit planning, tax planning, fund raising, M&A work, and the sale of companies to multinational PLC’s.I have to set up new companies and offices, recruited staff, sourced new premises and resources. This is something I have done a number of times in Ireland, the UK, the USA, Ireland and several European countries.As Commercial Director I have had sole responsibility for thenegotiation of commercial contracts, employee contracts, and suppliercontracts across Europe,mainland China and Hong Kong and the USA.As FD and CFO I have had full P&L responsibility, and have beenresponsible for setting and implementing budgets across all internaldepartments. I have also been successful in raising finance for several companiesover the last 20 years and have raised in excess of €50million in seedand investment capital bringing about returns of up to multiples of 20times investment.
