Stephen R. Ganns

Stephen Ganns is a Houston based consultant and economist specializing in real estate portfolio advisory and independent fiduciary services. He is experienced in acquisition, management, workout, financing and pension fund strategic advisory services. Mr. Ganns has led complex real estate advisory engagements. He is a published author of pension best practices methodology. He has relationships with several of the largest state pension funds in the U.S. In conjunction with his on‐going monitoring of global economies and governmental regulations, he has formed affiliations/relationships with financial leaders and academic institutions. Mr. Ganns has relationships with the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy and The Jones School of Graduate Management at Rice University. He has attended The Group of Thirty's annual International Banking Seminars in Istanbul, Turkey and Washington, DC. He provided advisory services to Senator Huchinson during the TARP legislation and for Senate Banking Committee issues. He conducted panels for the Research and Statistics Division at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve concerning commercial real estate and capital markets. He published articles in Pensions & Investments: Using Modern Portfolio Theory for Real Estate, September 2009; A New Framework for Monitoring Real Estate Investments, October 2009 and has published commentary on Bank for International Settlements Papers entitled "The Financial Turmoil of 2007 ‐?: A Preliminary Assessment & Some Policy Considerations and Central Bank Operations in Response to the Financial Turmoil", August 2008.
