Coordinated and planned for all aspects of service and support for a 600-person unit during the preparation and execution of a combat deployment to Afghanistan. Managed, reconciled, and allocated the unit’s $420,000 pre-deployment budget ensuring the procurement and acquisition of mission essential items. Planned and coordinated all unit transportation to and from Fort Polk, LA and Afghanistan utilizing multi-modal freight resources. Served as the unit Property Book Officer and ensured the accountability and maintenance of over $260 million worth of Government property and equipment. Directly supervised a team of three junior leaders on a daily basis using their subject matter expertise to meet mission requirements. • Developed a $420,000 budget and managed all unit funds over a seventeen month period. • Coordinated life support assets (Food, Fuel, Water, General Contract Support) for over 800 personnel at four different combat outposts in Afghanistan. • Ranked in the top 20% of Officers of equal grade within the unit by the unit Commander. • Selected above his peers to serve as the Logistics Officer; a position typically held by a Senior Captain. • Coordinated and planned the full transfer of a Combat Outpost to the Afghan Government; over twelve buildings and $300,000 worth of equipment.
