Emergency response - Directly managed incidents that ranged from infrastructure failures to major accidents / incidents on the railway and its surroundings (Qualified as RIO - Rail incident officer, level 2). Leading teams - As a signalling Manager / LOM, I led one of the largest NX panel Power Signal boxes (PSB) in the country, in Doncaster, for 8 years. The role encompassed of all aspects of health and safety at work, staff performance, competence / training, budget management and all the other responsibilities of a front line manager with 38 staff that were responsible for signalling trains over an area covering circa 400 miles of track and signalling. For the past 8 years I have been working as a Project Manager “Delivery” across what was previously the LNE & EMs route, as part of the North & East route planning team. The role predominantly centred around acting as an independent reviewer for all major works planned on the London North East and East Midlands route. I excel at, and enjoy providing support to delivery organisations during all phases / stage-gates of project readiness, whilst giving experienced guidance on the application and adherence to the DWWP standard. I am also fully conversant with industry planning processes, timescale and systems.
