Steven Dawson

I am a project manager with expertise in environmental geology, petroleum geology, and hydrogeology. I have been with WSP for almost nine years, and was a practicing oil and gas well-site geologist for one year before joining WSP. At WSP, I have assisted in designing and implementing geological and hydrogeological investigations at Resource Conservation and Recovery Act facilities, Superfund sites, state voluntary clean-up program sites, underground storage tank sites, and Hazardous Site Response Act sites. With over eight years of field experience, I have hands on knowledge of various groundwater sampling methods, surface and downhole geophysical techniques, and I am proficient with bedrock logging, aquifer testing and the use of aquifer testing software. Additionally, I have experience with most environmental as well as production drilling methods. As a senior staff member and a geologist, I aid in the management and scope of project investigations. I have been involved with project management, business development, staff training, and technical guidance of staff. During my five years working in the DC metro area I played a central role in the development of business in the greater Washington, DC region by identifying opportunities, positioning and branding WSP, and developing successful proposals for new and existing clients. Technical review of external environmental reports and data. Design and manage remediation of Brownfield industrial and commercial waste sites for redevelopment.
