About
Through four college degrees in science and engineering based disciplines I have enjoyed developing an intellectual base which few have the opportunity to pursue. Through my experiences in the Marine Corps, and following, I have had an opportunity to build myself into a self-reliant individual who is also experienced working in dynamic team environments. My primary focus of study throughout graduate training has been on land use, remediation, and reclamation, as well as water transport of contaminants. I have also gained exposure to the storm water compliance profession through a summer internship including both field and office work, and have recently begin an internship with the Bureau of Land Management working as an ArcGIS. This combination of studies and experience have allowed me to develop skills both with computer interfaces relevant to many environmental practices, as well as field exposure to land use and compliance practices.Through my experiences I have developed a strong background in land management practices in both theory and practice coupled with data manipulation in ArcGIS, Python and R. I have been trained in sample collection techniques, possess in-depth knowledge of aquifer system characteristics, as well as an understanding of the history and current state of regulations such as RCRA and CERCLA. Furthermore, I have extensive working knowledge of geochemical systems, and the microbial biota which live in environmental conditions.
