Sujoy Paul, PhD

Sujoy Paul is currently working as R&D engineer at II-VI Laser Enterprise, Zurich. He obtained PhD from TU Darmstadt, Germany where he managed a German project together with market leading companies with the aim of realizing high-volume MEMS tunable VCSELs for SFP+ module. He obtained his MSc degree in Communications Technology with major in Microelectronics and Optoelectronics from Ulm University, Germany. He has authored and coauthored more than 30 papers in international journals and conferences. He has more than 8 years of cleanroom experience which include PECVD deposition, mask design, RIE & wet etching, lithography, metallization, lift-off, critical point drying, SEM imaging etc. Also, he has experience in RF and optical on-wafer testing of lasers, photodiodes, and filters as well as building up measurement set-up for electro-optical characterization and optical fiber data transmission. Currently he is working as R&D engineer in the field of 3D sensing for consumer as well as automotive applications.
