Sunil Takyar

Sunil is currently the Bechtel Program Manager on the Jubail Industrial City Project for the Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu. Located in Saudi Arabia's eastern province, he is leading a team of 400 Bechtel employees of 25 nationalities located in Jubail to build infrastructure projects in the cities of Jubail and Ras Al Khair. He was elected Principal Vice President in 2011.From August 2008 to February 2021, Sunil Takyar was heading the Bechtel operation in India as the Managing Director of Bechtel India Pvt. Ltd. and Bechtel Engineering & Construction India Pvt. Ltd., responsible for execution of all projects and service organizations at the India office. Sunil has 39 years of experience in EPC industry that includes 26 years with Bechtel, 7 years with Siemens and 6 years with L&T in General Management and Project Execution for Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Power and Mining industry. Sunil is a strong proponent of a bias free inclusive and diverse culture.Sunil joined Bechtel in 1995 and grew through the ranks from Chief Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, Manager of Engineering, Manager of Operations to the Managing Director position. He joined L&T, Powai as a college hire in 1982.
