Accomplished Veterinarian and Practice Management Executive with an unwavering commitment to delivering quality and compassionate care to canines and felines, promoting the human-animal bond, and advocating for outreach programs that provide veterinary care to families in need. My reputation is built on a successful combination of strong work ethics, upholding impeccable quality standards, and providing the highest level of animal care, support, advocacy, and education.My professional career began in 1991 when I founded Wells Road Veterinary Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida. I served as its primary veterinarian, practice owner, and operations manager until 2008. At that time I sold the practice to my long time mentee/associate. I then assumed a full-time Director and Veterinarian position at St. Francis Animal Hospital, which I had initially launched in 2003 as a non-profit entity. I am an active member of numerous professional affiliations and organizations that include the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), Jacksonville Veterinary Medical Society (JVMS), Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS), American Veterinary Medication Association (AVMA), and American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS).Over the years, I have been privileged to mentor new veterinarians at Wells Road Veterinary Medical Center, St. Francis Animal Hospital and the City of Jacksonville's Animal Care facility. In addition, in recent years, I am honored to have served as Adjunct Professor for the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine wherein I mentor third and fourth-year veterinary medical students throughout 2-week clinical rotations in practice-based clerkship. When I’m not on the job, I love spending time with my 2 teenage boys, our 2 dogs (a fabulous Malamute/Lab mix and an exquisite French Bulldog), and our little black cat.
