After 20 years working as goldsmith and designer, questioning the market and its effects on our planet while embracing the potential of empowerment and self determination that lies in creative work and craft, the turning point came with a fundamental insight I gained during a design project with children from a slum school in Nairobi: To be able to consciously create and step into self-responsibility, we need to integrate our shadow with self-compassion and heal from the various ways we have been colonized, traumatized, hurt, abandoned and disconnected from our true nature. Hence I turned my life long passion into my profession and became a psychotherapist. My work is a holistic and humanistic fusion inspired by different schools aiming at a deeper understanding of human consciousness: neurology and the nervous system, psychology and social context, quantum physics and the mystery of soul – all aspects of what I have studied in the last decade. Trained in the field of humanistic psychotherapy, I offer different levels of interventions from systemic coaching, to activating one’s resources and self-care strategies, to stepping out of the drama-triangle and into self-responsibility, all the way to deep trauma work. Most importantly, humanistic psychotherapy is presuming that everything you need can be found or developed within. As I don’t have your answers, nor the power to “do” anything on your behalf, you will find in me an empathic, supportive, respectful, kind and solution-focused witness and companion on your own path towards healing, holding the space for self-discovery and transformation from within. In addition, working with shamanic healing methods is an essential part of my psycho-spiritual approach. Through the chakras we gain access to our light body, the energy field that surrounds every human being. Everything we experience is stored there and can be edited, changed, cleaned or removed in various ways. Some examples are illuminations (cleansing of the affected chakra), extracting stuck energies or traveling into the unconscious realm of the soul to bring consciousness to memories and parts of ourselves (dissociation & inner child work) or dissolving limiting belief systems (hypnosis & visualization).
