Takashi Ikegawa

Takashi Ikegawa is a career advisor for Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, the University of Tokyo, Japan. He received B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in fine measurements and system engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan,in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He also received a Ph.D.degree in mathematical and computing sciences from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2008. He joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Corporation in 1987 and has been involved in network protocol standardization activity with the International Organization for Standardization and in studies on network architecture with the Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture Consortium (TINA-C). He was also engaged in industry-academia collaboration activities. He was a Visiting Professor at Kyusyu University, and was also a Part-time lecturer at Keio University, Japan. His research interests include performance modeling and analysis of communication protocols, and development of effective schemes for industry-academia collaborations. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) of Japan and a member of the Operations Research Society of Japan. He served as a TPC member for many conferences including IEEE WiOpt, IEEE WCNC and IEEE ICC. He is a Visiting Professor at Waseda University and a part-time Lecturer at Kanagawa Institute of Technology in Japan. He is also a technical advisor for ARTE Inc, startup company.
