Tamara Jones, CPA, CA

I am a Partner in the Financial Services Assurance practice of PwC Toronto, specializing in Banking and Insurance. I work with a broad range of financial institutions including public and private clients, insurance companies, banks, credit unions, broker-dealers and fintechs. I lead audit engagements to ensure a seamless audit and value added client service. I also help clients meet regulatory requirements and transition to new accounting standards. Through my diverse background, having worked for PwC in Sydney, Australia, working with PwC Canada's leadership team on the execution of strategic initiatives and having led PwC Toronto's Financial Services assurance team, I bring to my clients a strong business acumen and understanding of the big picture. I have instructed various methodology and industry courses at PwC and have been published in PwC's annual Canadian Banks publication. I am active in the community, currently serving on the Audit Committee of the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. I was previously a Board Member of the Aphasia Institute where I served as Treasurer and member of the Executive Finance and Fundraising Committees. I was also a Director of the National Board of Girl Guides of Canada, Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee and member of the Nominating Committee of the Board of Girl Guides of Canada.
