Tamara Long, CIA, CRMA, CFE

Tamara is an Audit and Risk Management leader with large financial institution experience across all three lines of defense and all risk domains. Tamara began her financial services career in the Corporate Secretary’s Division of BNY Mellon performing corporate governance work in support of the Chairman and the Board with dedicated support to the Technology Committee. Tamara moved into Internal Audit where she audited various Operations, LODs, and corporate functions utilizing a technology-integrated approach with project teams consisting of traditional and technology auditors. Tamara moved to PNC where she developed, implemented and managed the 3LOD department-wide framework for auditing model risk across the 1 and 2LODs while leading a team of traditional and quantitative auditors through evolving regulatory expectations. In 2018, Tamara returned to BNY Mellon where she served in 1LOD global risk management and ORM roles. Tamara joined Silicon Valley Bank in May 2022 to develop and implement the EUCT risk management function to achieve risk management expectations for large financial institutions and currently serves as a Director in Model Risk Management. Tamara is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
