Tamara Nachmani

Tamara is a partner in Blakes corporate group. Her practice covers a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, fund and real estate investments, divestitures, reorganizations, and other complex corporate restructurings and transactions. She advises purchasers, vendors and targets on domestic and international transactions as well as on various forms of investments. She also provides legal services to a broad range of clients, from large financial institutions and institutional investors to technology, private equity, retailers, energy and manufacturing companies. During her second year as an Associate, Tamara completed a secondment at a media and technology company where she acted as an in-house counsel and advised on a number of acquisitions as well as provided practical day-to-day advice and negotiated commercial agreements. In addition, she previously completed a secondment at a foreign investment bank where she was engaged on a variety of corporate, securities and compliance matters. Tamara completed her J.D. At the University of Toronto in 2012. Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History (War and Society) with a double minor in Political Science and Religious Studies at McGill University, graduating with great distinction. She spent her third year studying abroad at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she completed an honours program in Middle Eastern studies. At law school, Tamara was awarded faculty funding for a summer internship through the International Human Rights Program and was the recipient of the Leslie G. Dollinger Memorial Fund award and a Leadership Award. While studying a semester at The Centre for Transnational Legal Studies in London, England, she achieved Director’s List and won the class prize in International Arbitration Law.
