I love being involved scientific research. Originally, I was a plant ecologist with publications in weed ecology & comparative plant ecology. Due to health reasons I have been working casually or part-time from 2008 on. I quickly pick up new skills and processes and don't mind the tedious bits like processing thousands of samples, whether it be plants or anything else, such as votes in the recent elections. My main interest is in native plant identification in the field and researching plants in the glasshouse or in the lab. I also love working with databases and was lucky enough to participate in creating and updating databases of plant ecological and physiological traits, preparing and processing fossil plant sections, researching plant traits in a variety of ecosystem, setting up and running glasshouse experiments as well as working in a team to process thousands of grain samples. I am also good with MS Office, data entry and general computer use. I am currently looking for any type of work in any technical type field. Give me a shout!
