In my current role as a Curriculum Content Expert, I design instruction that is based on learning standards and promotes data driven Instruction. I work collaboratively on a team to foster reflection, provide guidance and structure where needed, and focus on strengths, and common issues of concern. I also teach 9th - 12th grade English within Lakota Local Schools' Virtual Learning Option. I provide personalized learning to address the individual needs of the whole child, while developing deep, personal connections to maximize student ownership of learning. Additionally, as a virtual teacher I promote innovative and engaging learning, enhanced with leading edge technology. I work tirelessly to get to know my students and create engaging lessons for them. Lessons are student-centered and allow for students to showcase their own interests by allowing choice in their reading and in writing topics. I am always learning and I strive to continue growing and improving my practices, I use data to reflect on students needs and plan instruction around targeted skills and specific standards.
